    Default Aga Khan... His Jockeys

Does anyone know how i can find info on a jockey? My granddad who died years ago was one of the Aga Khans jockeys. I dont have any dates but think it could of been in the 20s/30s. I inherited my granddads Brown and green silks but due to the many moves ive had have lost them ! ( im not amused ) Have been on their website and left a message to the manager in Ireland and Paris My granddad met and married my nan in Paris when he was a jockey there. Don't have anymore info as all my relatives have long been gone and i was adopted anyway. Also tried the jockey club but got no help there either. HELP!! jan x

Hi, you could try writing to the Racing Post. I am sure one of their experts would either know or be able to find out for you.

I have had a quick look on the web and from the dates you mention the Aga Khan in question is probably the one featured here:-

I'll have a better look when I have more time later on. Hope this is some help anyway.

Hi again, Charlie Smirke also rode for the Aga Khan, his profile is below:-

It states that he worked for Alec Head and I am pretty sure the Heads are a French family, that would link in with your story.

    Good luck.
