    The caterpillar was aprox. 5cms long, found on the edge of the peat bog, wondering if any one knows what it will turn into?
    The fungi was growing in a patch of moss in the bog.

    As you will gather, been out tramping the hills, also saw a small frog and two lovely moths who unfortunately did hang about to get their pictures taken!

    It's a Northern Eggar (Lasiocampa quercus callunae).

    Thank you nirofo, will have to keep my eye open for when it turns into that rather splendid moth.
