    I just love petunias! But why is it that when I plant them in tubs they grow vigorously, yet when I plant them on the ground, albeit into about 5 inches of compost (same type as in the pots) they remain small and often yellow leaves - very unhealthy looking?

    Try feeding them, soil may poor!!!!! - only a suggestion,
