He has had to repay council tax of £548.21. certainly not the highest expenses claim but why should a man of his means have to resort to this.

I'm not being ironic. Thurso castle fell into ruins because the Sinclairs did not have the money to repair it and keep it up.

It has been confirmed that he did overclaim (but has since paid back) £400+ and had a claim for a £11 TV licence bill knocked back

He made £4312.25 from the International Wine & Spirit racket and accepted 3 bottles of wine valued at £25 from someone !!. And that appears to be his income from offices outwith the Mother of Pig Troughs.

he's an MP miles from Westminster so will be claiming a lot but he doesn't seem to claim the maximum available.

at least he didn't claim for the upkeep of his moustache, which i agree with the OP, was a real mouser of distinction
