This little micro moth (only 20mm in length) does not have an English name but appears to be quite common in Caithness, but under recorded. It emerges in the autumn and over winters as an adult reappearing in March through to April, depending on the weather. Quite a few over wintered in my out buildings this year. It comes to light, including lit windows, and can be seen around vegetation at dusk. The larva feed on umbelliferous plants.
