Default Government proposal to ban full time workers from diving horseboxes at weekend

Pretty much what it says in the title. The government are planning to follow the European regulations to the letter and prohibit full time workers from driving horseboxes for a hobby at the weekend or evening.

This would cripple the UK horse industry, which, lets face it, is the only sport we are consistently good at

Cann't really see them doing this as they'd have to stop Caravaners plus anyone else with a trailer too then artic lorries the list goes on.....!!!

    Default horse lorries

As I understand it the legislation will not apply to trailers - it's aimed at the larger horsebox/lorries that need a tacograph recording the hours driven.
They want to apply the same rules as apply to lorry drivers regarding hours driven and breaks - and this is where the problem is. They are not prepared to differentiate between people that make their living driving and people that just use a lorry at weekends etc
