    Default Drawing and Painting Classes

For all levels of ability by Julian Smith. Good value and lots of laughs.

Does he do classes in Wick?
Don't wrestle with pigs, you just get all dirty and the pig enjoys it.

No, for this you will have to make the big trip out of Wick to Dunnet.

Kas, you will get a lot out of it as the emphasis was on drawing life sketches of birds. It really makes you see birds in a whole new light when you draw them in a way you probably wouldn't apprecreciate otherwise. Drawing teaches us to see!

The course was a bargain at £25 for the weekend with food thrown in, though I think the price is set to go up slightly.

I am working on my portfolio for the up coming exhibition

    Sounds Great.

Julian is a great artist, I love his work especially his bird sketches. If you did any good sketches yourself, you will have to give us a look.

At the end of the course we were drawing terns and lapwings in 30seconds without looking at the paper and pencil and getting sketches that were species-recognisable! He was an excellent teacher! I think I will do a lot more in-the-field sketching from now on.
