Thank you Tuggmistress, i was wondering if it was a green finch, its just when i looked in my book the bird was more green with no grey on top of its head.

Dont put yourself down, you are bang on Paula. They are Greenfinch.

Thanks kas, im delighted that the greenfinch is now coming to the bird table, i just wish i could get such a good one of the swallows, but everytime i take a picture it comes out too dark.

I dont know much about photography, but why dony you ask for advice in the photography section. I think it may have something to do with the strong light of the sky.

I am sure you will suss it. I hope the Greenfinch keeps visiting.
