Have you tried using a rocket blower?

    dragonfly,

I have always found that a blower will remove most dust, with full frame digital cameras there tends to be a problem with oil from the mirror mechanism but you should not have this problem.

In addition to the link given by The Oracle here are a few more:-

    http://www.bythom.com/cleaning.htm

But I would try the rocket blower or similar again, if that leaves you with one or two spots I would not worry too much as they are so easy to remove in post processing .

No idea - but I'm sure they'll tell you over the phone if you give them a quick call. I have always cleaned my own cameras. I know they are very good for servicing and repairs. Good luck

With some Canon DSLR cameras (not just Full Frame) using continuous shooting at fast shutter speeds can cause lubricant to spread on to the sensor.

Apparently Canon are known to be generous when lubricating the internal mechanism.

I've looked into this a bit after it happened to mine !!!

Got a 30D cleaned by them last July - plus checkover and update of firmware (not required) for £32 plus VAT.
Did it same day - left it with them for a few hours.
Very central location - just next to Central Station.
    Rate them highly.

They cleaned my sensor but chose not to do a full service because they said it wasn't needed. ie they refused the opportunity to make money at my expense. That suggests they are are reputable firm who rather get repeat business than get the quick profit.
They are one of only two approved Nikon repairers in the UK though I think they do all brands of camera.
