I have the new updated faster speed, from bt broadband, had a few problems to start with, but going fine now!

Has anyone else on the Watten exchange noticed a lowering in broadband speed recently?

I did have 1mb.....now its dropped to 576k

Could be they are testing the line. I got a warning from my ISP saying that speeds to go up and down while the lines were tested so see what they could cope with.

I hope that's all it is. I rang the BT helpdesk but they said everything is rosey....

no she's a weeker but thank any way she had bt out checking her line and it's fine so back on the phone to see what is up .

Had no problems with the changeover myself had no up and down speeds just been lucky .
Started at 8meg and has so far stayed at 8meg .
Altho if you are waiting for miracles to happen with your new speed unless you are downloading lots there is no change.
But download speeds of around 950ks.

I'm on the Watten exchange as well, and also 1Mb but can't say I've noticed. BT won't even attempt to upgrade me, as they say I only get a 512Kbps service. I tell them I get 1Mb but I might as well tell the cat...

The big problmes at the moment is with bt not updating the bt bras server which controls the line speed there is a severe backlog with this at the moment im with eclipse and the only problems im having is single downloads only come down at 250Kb but if i run several i peak at almost 6 mb ish
eclipse says it will prob be sorted by the end of the month
