Lorry driver fined

Coal load was insecure court sheriff at Wick is told

POLICE stopped a lorry driver and discovered his flatbed load of bags of coal, was insecure.

The driver, William Gunn 61, also admitted having a damaged tachograph sheet which could not be read, and not carrying his driver's certificate of professional competance.

The offences occurred in Sir Archipbald Road, Thurso, on April 12, Wick Sheriff Court was told.

Gunn, of Corner Cottage, Castletown, was fined £600 and incurred three penalty points.
