Hi Scunner
Although you often see flocks of Redwing in the winter, often associated with Fieldfares, it is not unusual to see ones and twos especially in gardens. There was one in my garden yesterday. Birds in Caithness at this time of the year are probably heading to Iceland, though with the long period of easterly influenced winds one cannot rule out off-course Scandinavian birds.
