Jailed - man of conviction

Accused to serve 162 days for two offences
A THURSO man with an extensive record has been jailed for 162 days.
Liam Henderson, 26, of Ironside Place, was sentenced at Wick Sheriff Court, today, on charges of threatening or abusive behaviour and culpable or reckless conduct. The offences, which he admitted, occurred at his home in November last year.
Sheriff Andrew Berry expressed concern at the number of Henderson’s varied list of previous convictions which included assault, and police assault, driving while disqualified, offending while on bail, and domestic disorder, and added that a custodial sentence was the only appropriate disposal.
