7 Years in Tibet

It's a bit of an old one now (1997) but I just saw it recently on DVD and definitely would say it is worth watching. Brad Pitt plays an Austrian mountaineer in the Himalayas in the 1930's. When the war starts he gets captured by the British as a POW. He later becomes a close friend of the young Dalai Lama.

Well I won't give away too much more. It is based on a true story

It's been a very long time since I saw it in the cinema. The photography was beautiful and yes, it was a very good film.
