Two on abduction charge

Remanded pending further investigation after court appearance

TWO Thurso men are facing a charge of abducting a woman in the town.
Noel William Michael Sutherland, 26, and 33-year-old John Andrew Douglas Mackenzie made no plea or declaration during a brief appearance before Sheriff Andrew Berry, at Wick, today.
He remanded both men in custody pending further inquiry.
They are alleged to have abducted the woman in Thurso, on Sunday. Mackenzie is further accused of assaulting her.
