Computer theft alleged

Accused of stealing laptop and accessories on Pentland Firth ferry
AN Aviemore man has been accused of theft on a ferry travelling between Orkney and Caithness.
Paul Burns, 34, appeared from custody at Wick Sheriff Court today. The charge alleges he stole a lap top, power cable, bag and a charger, while a passenger on board the Stromness-to-Scrabster-bound MV Hamnavoe,, on January 18.
Burns, of 34 Craigellachie Crescent, Aviemore, was granted bail by Sheriff Andrew Berry. The case was continued without plea until April 4 for a pre-plea legal debate.
