Man dies in Caithness road accident

Road crash claims one, injures another

ONE man died and another was injured in an early-morning road accident in Caithness.
The single vehicle crash occurred about three miles north of Spittal, just after 3am today.
Emergency services attended at the scene but found one man dead. His next-of-kin have been informed. The other occupant is being treated at Caithness General Hospital., Wick.
Road traffic police have begun an investigation into the crash. Local diversions are in place via the B870. Large goods vehicles travelling to Thurso are being advised to take the A99 to Wick and the A882 back to the A9.
