Work continues to clear fire-hit lorry THE A9 at Berriedale Braes remains closed as work continues to clear the road after an accident involving a lorry which caught fire.
The driver escaped unhurt. Emergency services converged on the scene after the accident, on the hairpin bend, this morning.
The lorry was towing a trailer with refuse. The diversion via Helmsdale and Melvich is only suitable for light vehicles, say police.
