Supply restored quickly
WICK was hit by a power failure on Friday.
About 1100 customers, including banks and businesses, which had to close early, were affected, following the failure around 4.25 pm. ATMs and traffic lights were affected as well as Caithness General Hospital.
However, the hospital was able to switch to a generator supply. The general power loss was short-lived and supply was restored at 5pm,
