Assault on partner alleged

Accused denies punching and biting and threatening to kill her
A YOUNG Thurso man is to stand trial, accused of assaulting his partner and threatening to kill her.
Peter O' Hare, 20, denies both charges which he faced at Wick Sheriff Court today following alleged incidents at their home at 8 Mackay Court, Thurso, on Saturday.
O'Hare is accused of punching Rachel Smith by the hair, punching her and biting one of her fingers. The accused is also alleged to have behaved in a threatening or abusive manner.
O Hare was granted conditional bail to his parents home at Swanlea, Bridge Street, Halkirk village, and will return to court for his trial on September 30.
