Macdonald and Gunn research

Hi I am looking to find any information on the Macdonalds from Caithness.

They are the ones from roster. The missing man from lybster Samuel (sammy) Macdonald which went missing and his body was found a month or two ago. He is the great grandson of my macdonald line.

Marcus Macdonald b: 1 Sep 1864 Roster Caithness Scotland
M Catherine Gunn
Alexander Macdonald b: 16 Mar 1894 Latheron Caithness Scotland -
Alex is my great grandfather - he came out to Australia in 1922 with Christina his sister and younger brother samuel.
He married Johanna Taylor.


Catherine Gunn b: 17 Sep 1858 Latheron Cainthess Scotland
Parents: John Gunn 1837 Latheron Caithness Scotland
Ann McIntosh b: 1835 Latheron Cainthess Scotland


If anyone has any information about my family i would love to read the information. Also if anyone knows Samuel Sammy Macdonald or his family i would love to get in contact with them.

I would also like to share any information with other people on the records i have.

I know it's been five years since you began the thread, Wendy, but I began working on this family a few weeks ago for who must be a cousin of yours in Australia. How far did you get? It would be good to compare notes.
