Whale spotting

As part of a publicly funded public engagement of science project
at the University of St Andrews in collaboration with the
International Fund for Animal Welfare, they have set a website
www.whalequest.org.uk and associated computer game which takes the
player on a survey for sperm whales. Players can learn about the
statistics of whale surveys and if aged 16-21 (and a UK resident) can
win the chance to go on the IFAW survey boat "Song of the Whale" for a
survey around Medeira in September.
