Trio to stand trial on fire-raising charge

THREE Wick people denied a charge of wilful fire-raising when they appeared at the town’s sheriff court today. (Monday)
The trio, who appeared from custody, were 17-year-olds Brett Webster and Andrew Beresford and 19-year-old Rachel Jones.
They deny setting fire to a Seat Leon car in Wellington Street, Wick on Friday, whereby the vehicle was destroyed and another car, nearby, seriously damaged
Their trial was fixed for June 7 and all three were granted bail by Honorary Sheriff Anne Dunnett.
