Driver in fatal crash named

Two car accident under investigation by police
THE man killed in a road accident in Sutherland on Monday has been named by police.He was 69-year-old Ernest Jones who lived in the Wick area. Mr Jones was driving a car which was in collision with another vehicle south of Brora. He was taken along with his passenger, to Raigmore Hospital but was found to be dead on arrival.
His passenger was not seriously injured. The driver of the other car escaped with minor injuries.
The road was closed for a time to allow a police accident team to carry out an investigation.
