WICK police have received several reports from members of the public who have received scam letters trying to defraud them.
This particular scam involves alleged large sums of monies in China which are due to next of kin.
These letters are fraudulent. Police wish to remind members of the public to be vigilant and not to respond to such letters, not to divulge their personal bank details or enter into any correspondence with such fraudulent schemes.
Anyone receiving such letters should contact their local police station for advice. |
