Advice for new orgers

I just jumped in (and didn't you all enjoy that!) but as there is going to be a lot of new orgers coming on line as the backlog clears, why don't we use this thread for some handy or amusing advice?

I also kinda jumped in but was helped through the early days by Canuck, Golach, Errogie et al.

The other thing to kept clear in your mind is that it IS a mixed community and you need to treat everyone with equal respect.
