View Full Version : Fuel tax - asking for reduction in VAT

Thought I would pass this one on

When VAT was temporarily reduced to 15%, the Chancellor added 2% duty to fuel to offset the reduction in tax collected from motorists.
Now that VAT has been increased to 17.5% again this hidden tax has not been removed - hence recent rises in your fuel costs.

what difference will it make

oil is about $73 a barrel and fuel is about £1.11 a ltr

when oil was $140 a barrel fuel was about £1,15 a ltr

they will charge what they want and all the moaning and graoning will make no difference if ye dinna want to pay the price then walk,
