Cyprus, Canaries & Tunisia are three areas I have visited in October, always warm and sunny.

Anywhere in southern Europe will be fine and warm, or if you wan't to go further afield, try Florida, it's at it's best that time of year.

I agree - Canaries, Malta. Not so keen on Cyprus myself. However - loved Rhodes! If you go you must take the boat trip to the island of Simi.

Went to Side in Turkey (SE Med coast) two years ago in October....great. Going back this year in October.
I'd also recommend the Canaries at that time of year.

Check on www.tripadvisor (http://www.tripadvisor) before you go as they will tell you the best hotels. We looked at a 4 star hotel in Malta which sounded and looked great, when we looked on tripadvisor it rated it less than a 2 star and the pictures were awful. Happy hunting.

Florida is very warm in October and there is so much to see and do even if you hate theme parks.

Sahara - plenty of sun and sand - no crowds! (Take your own deckchair, bucket and spade optional).

Tunisia will still be sunny and warm. If you dont mind Arabs. It's cheap too.
Beware the begging culture and don't wander too far from the hotel unescorted. If you are blonde, and female, and thinking of going alone take my advice and forget it. If you haggle for goods start very low. If they insult you when you don't buy by saying things like 'get stuffed' as you walk out of the shop do not let it bother you. If you make eye contact with sellers they will be loath to leave you alone.

the dental work went brilliant!!!!!!! didn't need an appointment, dentist was great and got 2 fillings for £24 and that included a tip!!!!! didn't even feel injection!

went to majorca last october weather was fine, however a friend went the fortnight after us and it rained for the full two weeks. this october we're going to gran canaria for two weeks . next year i want to go to malta but we are still assesing our options

forgot to say holidays-uncovered is a great website, however if i had read the reviews of the hotel i went to in alcudia last year before i went i would have cancelled , but when i got there it was fine.

I agree with you, but I never take the postings on holidays-uncovered as gospel, have a check of the posters age groups too
