what astronomy mags would you recomend i should read or get ??

I really don't know. But I have a large collection of Jazz mags and they give me hours of pleasure.

Acker Bilk Almanac, gives you tips on how to track whales using a bassoon.

Benny Goodman Monthly, a great series of articles on laying your own patio.

Seriously, there are amazing interactive astronomy websites, really wonderful application of the technology we have now. It has turned astronomy into something very easy to access. I will ask my cousin if he has any old mags for you.

Sky and Telescope is good. Discover has a lot of astronomy articles. These are both American magazines but should be available in the UK.

Try Sky at Night magazine Paul.

It also comes with a CD and Observing Guide for the month in both mag and CD.

Most newsagents can order them if ye ask Mr C.Try the Co-op or Tesco in Thurso,they might stock them already.:)
