Good to see that some are being brought too book for their greed and seeing the Taxpayers out off thousands .Here's hoping that the local Councillors that seen the taxpayer off for Millions (£16,000,000.00)get the same treatment or are they above the Law ...

Their motto is "All aboard the gravy train".
Polititions, the monetary committee is a group of people who individually can do nothing but together can decide that nothing can be done.

I see our friend Lord Thurso has to pay back some council tax he overclaimed in the last 3 years. http://news.scotsman.com/politics/Scottish-MPs-are-ordered-to.6046113.jp
It's outrageous enough taxpayers having to pay the council tax on the very expensive properties inhabited by these freeloaders, without them copping for "a wee bit extra" just to grease their wheels.
Just remember, if you happen to claim some benefits you're not entitled to, to say that it was merely an oversight and you will pay it back.....at some point in the future. Or, if they prefer, they can stop it out of your £65,000 severance pay when you are kicked out.

How much more money would have been claimed from the tax payer if he wasn't caught!.Its not the amount its the deceit and its the people's tax not his or any other M.P's to use.
Had this been you or me then proceedings would have ensued you can bet.
Thieves through and through the lot of them.

Polititions say alot..how often do they backtrack and deceive the voters.
The evidence on the claims and expenses fiasco says it all.

Are there degrees of fraud and theft then? Stealing is stealing, whether it's £1,000,000 or a bent paper clip. Why would anybody trust a well-paid and already wealthy individual who feels the need to help himself to another 500 quid from the battered taxpayer?
