One of my favourite REM songs. It's hard to comprehend that over 200,000 people have lost their lives in this terrible disaster. Hopefully the release will go a long way in helping those who have survived.

If you read some of the comments on the page you will see what I mean.



Anyway to the original topic. The track is unbelievably bad. When I first heard about it I thought it would be the case that they would have some of the awful wailing that popular female singers (i.e x-factor winners) seem to think is so great today. I never expected it would start with it and continue the whole way through.

Also these charity singles are in such poor taste. The amount of money that goes to the charity / cause in the end is probably minuscule after all the other costs (I don't know that for a fact). But the main point is it does more to help the careers of the people involved than the people it is meant to help.

Who choose the song? Were they being ironic? I'd expect them to bloody hurt after an earthquake. :roll:
