Grantyg, I saw those pictures the other day somewhere. They were posted as "Real yoga vs. Redneck yoga". Personally as someone with a bad back I think posting pictures like that should be outlawed. I have to take an ibuprofen just from looking at them! I once had to sleep like the baby in the first picture because it was the only position I could get comfortable.

I'm much better nowadays. Thanks for asking.

best advice for a bad back is to keep moving - sorry for any offence!

I prefer the "hat and whisky" cure. Take a hat and a bottle of whisky. Hang the hat where you can see it from the bed, then go to bed and drink whisky until the hat moves all by itself. In the morning either your back is better or you have such a hangover you don't care about your back any more.

Seriously though, a good dram and a hot bath can help ease muscle spasms, which often keep your back locked in a wrong position.
