Spiders....how do you catch yours??

That's brilliant!
It reminds me of when I was little, we had a massive spider in the house which Mum caught in an icecream container and left outside near the front door, to let the spider "find its own way home". My dad came home late, in the dark, and we were all woken up by him shrieking. He'd stepped in the container, the spider had shot up his trousers and he was hysterical.
He's never, to this day, lived it down. :lol:

I've got one of those but it's only good for fairly large spiders, not teeny ones, and they can escape if the window isn't open ready.

There's been a very teeny one in my bath for a few days now (I use the shower) and I'm quite worried about it as am sure it must be starving but if I put it outside it will be frozen. Would a quick death be better (I don't want to kill it)? What to do? My grandchildren keep asking when I'm going to get a pet but this isn't quite what I planned.

We have a device we call the arachnid lighsaber!! A bit like Shabbychics but very much like a lightsaber (goes down well in our house). Very handy if you are as scared of them as I am, as you don't have to get too close. Now I need something to suck the slugs of my cat after he has been in the garden hahaha

I scoop them up in my hands and blow them out the door. I may sound weird but I love the feel of them crawling over my hands!! Gardeners friends and they DO NOT crawl up the waste pipe to end up in your bath and die if you flush them down.

Unless they are black widows (we get those here and they particularly like my garage!) I leave them alone. They eat ants, after all!
