does anyone know how to block a site from a pc, ????

couple of ways...
Look for a file called "hosts" (no extension), on XP its located at c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
Open the file in a text editor (notepad) and look at the example lines to follow the formatting and add 127.0.0.1 www.somesite.com (http://www.somesite.com) then save it.
All browsers etc will then look for the site at the IP 127.0.0.1 (which is your own PC) and not find it.
To allow the site again, simply remove the line from the file.
Your router also might have an option to block web sites by address or keywords but that would block every PC on your network from that site.
dont forget you can use a search engine too!...

Depending on your setup your router may be able to do this also, then covers all PC's that may use it, handy if you have bairns getting curious !!!!
