i find Harry Ramsdens very much a hit or a miss, as with most chippys serving frozen fish, it can be superb one day and the next time you try it quite frankly rank! :~( which is a shame as the chips and mushy peas are very good :)

It is up near Blockbusters and Matalan.
I agree with the person who mentioned 1st Plaice. Always delicious and always packed! You can order online also: http://www.1stpizzadirect.co.uk/
Only prob is it isn't really central enough if you are on foot.

furry boots is 1st plaice? ;)
True but having the 2 names confuses people and some only know it by the one name so best to throw in the two
Jo-Jo`s at Hilton shopping village
Charlie`s in Grant Street in Merkinch
Lorimers on the dual carriageway for superb eat in or take-away
Woody`s at the lorry park near the harbour.

Charlies is my favourite.
Woody's is good for the loo, if you can take the truck driver banter. They have healthy eating options, lol.
