Hi there Gee, I really feel for you if your looking after someone with dementia. I looked after my mother for 9 yrs, it nearly broke my heart at times but as long as you have a laugh about it now and again belive me it sure does help. jan x

it rips my heart out to see such a strong woman change so much. her memory is bad now but she still has her wicked sense of humour.

I dont know about thurso but theres a daycare service avalible in wick called the longberry for people with dementia.I hear its very good it gives the families a well deserved break as its extremely hard work to care for someone day in day out with dementia.
