Gritter's contact numbers?

Help!

does anyone know the contact numbers to get the Gritter out onto Strathy Point? - the road is a sheet of ice, there is a hill - nothing can move. Have seen the gritter only once since this ice/snow started have just tried Thurso Council's Service Point: "we're closed". Also Golspie Service Point "We're closed".. not impressed with the 'service' part!

As they say "reference my last; cancel" - just noticed a local car driving down the hill, turning by our gate and driving straight back up again - we know he's an expert driver, so it must be on the Thaw! (hopefully) - thanks for the PM's.

Why not contact Linda Munro local councillor she is very good and I do know of several people who have been in touch with her nearer Bettyhill.None of the side roads between Melvich and Bettyhill seem to have been gritted. have decided to stay put in the hope of a quick thaw!!!!!

Thanks Hoida, we did contact the 'out of hours' number 0845 769 7284 and they rang back to say our earlier request will be passed to local area - the lady did say that they were inundated with calls, so may get round to us 'out west' sometime...

Great! at 2.47 the gritter's just been down the hill and back up again, lot of crunching of ice (so it was bad) so all's well. - maybe he's on his way to Melvich/Bettyhill?
