I'm looking for any information on Alexander Downie b. 31 Mar 1872 to William Downie and Elizabeth McKay. He married Margaret Simpson and had five children, whom according to family lore in abandoned along with his wife after he embezzled money whilst working as an insurance agent in Thurso. This must have happened between 1922 to 1938. Any help into when this happened and where ran off to would be greatly appreciated.
