wow have saw 3 flashes of lightning now ...and think there was some thunder too !! That doesn't happen often in winter!!:confused

aye i saw it and heard it too, was just coming in from the garage. looked up the met office radr screen and there was a big thunder cell just off the coast

i saw twa flashes but thought it wis 'e effects o' last nites sloe gin!! i wis a bit worried for a menid.

im so pleased an no scared a tiny bit. though its usually 'e thunder am feared o', i hevna herd any.

I have also seen lots of lightening and heard the thunder. It is to the East of Wick over the sea. Sometimes the hail stones moving about the cloud create static which can generate lightening - I think!

Saw it too, about 8.30 in Halkirk - really lit the sky up as the light bounced off the falling snow :D

Lightning struck about five times in the field infront of my house which is only about 50 yards away, Looked mental.

Lightning in winter is quite common down here but the freakiest one I saw was three three years ago when we had thunder snow! Not much amazes me but that did.
