I have a Panasonic Plasma TV and it is brilliant so would recommend any of theirs.

Here are details of their range.http://bit.ly/6UbQlk

Graham Begg has some good deals on just now so worth checking out.

You won't get a DVD Player built in with Panasonic (at least I don't think so) but I have the BD35 Blu-Ray Player and it is great.
Probably best to have them as separates anyway as, if the DVD Player broke down you would have to send the whole TV away for repair if it couldn't be sorted in your home.

Totally agree with Liz, separates have always been the way to go.

Buy Pioneer, Panasonic, Samsung or LG and you'll be happy

thanks for your replies.
was just hoping for the tv to go on wall with no wires. looks like we may have to rethink the dvd player.
now wondering how i can run a long cable from tv behind wall to a unit on another wall with dvd player in it.

I've seen it done but it's much easier if you are able to plan it in advance & put a conduit for cables etc. behind the wall.

Alternatively if you're planning redecorating then cut out a channel in the plasterboard (I'm assuming), run a decent cable in the channel, and then plaster over the channel before decorating. Voila hidden cables!

Otherwise you could resort to small surface-mounted conduit which could be painted to blend in with the wall.

A few ideas

What is your budget?

That really is the most important thing.

You may get more channels with Freesat but you need a dish to receive these unlike Freeview which you receive through an aerial.

You could use both if you had the room for two receivers.:D
