Scary stuff isn't it! I saw two cars being taken away after an accident in Wick this morning. The police car was just leaving the scene as I drove past and one car had lost it's entire front bumper - it was left lying on the pavement!! Just shows you how easily accidents happen in weather like this. Take care on the roads out there - it's treacherous! :(

Ironic.

What else could it have been sitting at 30 on a straight and not a gritter in sight for about 2 hours i was stuck in a ditch, Heard there's been a fair few complaints about the roads like.

the lad has smashed his car and your making a stupid comment like that, why?

no grit = slidey roads, not hard to understand

I don't know..

Maybe I am stupid?

Just adding for those unclear about what irony is.. He passed by the scene of the afore mentioned accident earlier, and subsequently had one himself.. I thought that was ironic.

Hate to say it, but if you crashed on a straight road, then you were driving at an inappropriate speed. And if you dont think 30mph was an inappropriate speed, ask yourself if you would still have crashed at 10mph.

my thoughts exactly,if your speeding they pounce on you,if you crash at half the speed limit your pounced on,give the guy a break nobody wants it happening at this time of year! glad your ok and the car isnt to bad

Again I would like to stress I am very happy he is ok.

You are right, it is Christmas, and with the roads the way they are accidents happen. Let us all be thankful when we survive them.

Dreadful shock for you all, but the main thing is that you are all ok!
The Police, Ambulance and Fire services do a great job coming out at all hours, in all weathers and so often at this time of year they have to cope with very hazardous conditions too.
