I will just call it a good year, every year you make as you get older is always another year of your alloted time and hopefully a good year.

I agree with you Whitewater, good year, good health, what more can we ask at our age.

However, if anyone asks me what year it is, I'll say, two thousand and ten.

Perhaps we should do it the American way and call is two thousand ten. I just hope everyone has a great 2010 when it comes, no matter what we call it. :)

1810 was eighteen ten, 1910 was nineteen ten (I remember it well :) ) so why shouldn't 2010 be twenty ten? Can't see us saying all those thousands after a while.

Why not simpify matters. The answer is call it TWO. ( 20 over 10 )

Was thinking the other night about how we are going to pronounce 2010 and didn't realise that there was already some controversy over this. I personally favour 'twenty ten' even although it's a bit Americanised, as 'two thousand and ten' seems a bit of a mouthful. Wondered why we have been using 'two thousand and......' in everyday speech so far anyway as we never used to say 'nineteen hundred and ....'.
Read today that this subject has already been discussed on radio and apparently the BBC have declined to express opinion on the correct way to pronounce it. What do you think Orgers?

I do that for the first 4 to 6 months of every new year! I then call it the correct year for the last 6 months only for the cycle to start all over again

Oh the baby brain is bad at times isn't it? I used to be able to think back to all my previous addresses and recall them all fir when it was needed for a form. Had to call my mum and ask her instead last time. Typed all the dates into the laptop so i could have it handy for next time.

I did manage to write the right date yesterday but it didn't look right so wasn't convinced
