Mama's eyes" were as warm as they could be
"Mama's eyes" always watching over me
In times of trouble, nothing could disguise
There was always love in my "Mama's eyes"

I remember "Mama's eyes" as they looked to God in prayer
They showed much concern, when I had a nightmare
As the years passed by, I come to realize
There was always love in my "Mama's eyes"

"Mama's eyes" watched me say my prayers at night
"Mama's eyes" taught me how to live right
Though sometimes I was bad, nothing could disguise
There was always love in my "Mama's eyes"

I remember "Mama's eyes," how they looked so proud
When I sung my first song to the church crowd
Though I could have done better, I come to realize
I'm a "star" that shines in my "Mama's eyes"

Can you tell me why
when you stand on the
tips of your toes
you can't touch the sky,

That when you
smile at someone passing your way
that one smile can
travel around all day,

Or what when you're
feeling blue,
and you feel like
there is nothing you can do . . .
the sun will still
come shining through?

It's because when
you constantly strive
for your shining star,
You'll be able to
go exceptionally far!

I saw these poems and thought how beautifull they are and i just had to
