I must say the 'old tongue' is wonderfully expressive.

If you notice there is a section on Caithness Dialect which is interesting in itself also the map showing the geographical coverage of Scots

I once had a couple of linguistics students tape record me reading some of the Bard's poetry (not William the Bard, Robbie) since I was the nearest thing to a Lowland Scot they could find on the campus at the time (my boss, who is from Greenock, was on holiday). Just to confuse them I threw in some Caithness dialect as well.
