I am sure there is a Archery Club in Keiss.

There certainly is a club in Keiss (www.keissarchery.co.uk (http://www.keissarchery.co.uk)) with GNAS registered junior and senior members, and a number of experienced archers available to train newcomers, however no GNAS qualified instructors.

As far as I am aware there are no GNAS qualified instructors in the area.

No from what I understand Shelligoe have a qualified archery LEADER which is the rung before a recognised GNAS coaching qualification (http://www.gnas.org/coaching/prodshow.cfm) and simply gives them the ability to "Lead participants to shoot safely and competently".

However, this is the first, and most fundemental, lesson taught at any archery club, as without it someone could really get hurt.

The thing that scares me is when people go to retrieve their arrows and despite many warnings, some, usually children still walk right towards the target instead of down the sides. I really believe im going to see someone lose an eye doing that, as its hard to judge where the back end of the arrow is when walking towards it.
