We recently installed new heating and got a new fire surround to set the fire into.

However, we have found some small 'nicks' on the hearth (think we know the culprit but can't prove it!) so looking for ideas on how to hide these?

if its stone, have the edge recut or bevelled.

Afraid it is one of the 'ready made' fire surrounds but does look nice although not sure what the material is.

Thanks to Charly Sutherland the joiner I think I may have found the solution and that is a piece of marble put over the damaged area.
Here's hoping it will look okay.

Thanks both.:D
