Every night my wife rubs a bit of vaseline on her lips. As soon as she gets the tin out our cats over like a shot for a lick. Is this ok or is it harmful?

Is petroleum jelly, if ingested by a domesticated feline, in small quantities, harmful to the aforementioned felines health, or beneficial even? And why is my cat weird?:)

I don't think it will be harmful - I had a horse with colic and the vet unbloacked the blockage by stomach tubing warmed petroleum jelly. Interesting poos resulted though ;)

Hey you are not alone with a weird cat, mine goes daft for my nail file!!!! He comes running over and starts purring and trying to grab it, bizarre :D
