Back when you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up? Are you there now?

I can tell you I wanted to be a Doctor but I made the mistake of watching Superman and then wanted to be Superman. Im not a Doctor or Superman now.[lol]

I wanted to be a vet - all I had ever wanted to do from being tiny. I worked my little bum off all through school and college and sacrificed a lot to do my best. Needed to be predicted 4 As at highers to be offered a conditional place. I got predicted 2 As and 2Bs despite getting 4 As in my mocks and as a result didn't get offered a place :( Then Labour got into government and scrapped grants so that scuppered my chances anyway...

When I was about eight there was a gorse fire near where I lived and no one had a phone to call for the fire brigade so I ran about a mile to the fire station and raised the alarm.:eek:

The fireman sat me up in the fire engine and let me ring the bell all the back home and I felt as proud as punch for ever more and always dreamed of being a fireman.:Razz

I have been a bakers van boy, a foundry worker, a coal miner, a farm worker, a funeral director, a sales rep, a factory worker, and a handyman, but never a fireman.:~(

You must have an interesting cv.... I wanted to work with animals, I work with kids and love my job, my hard work though is my animals of which I have many, so I suppose I achieved it.

As a child I wanted, more than anything to be a cowgirl.......strange ambition for a wee girl in the middle of Glasgow with no TV to see what a cowgirl was.
I have done many jobs, but nearly realised my ambition when I worked as a stockman looking after cattle.................and I now have my lovely old gray mare..................So haven't quite managed it, this time around, but maybe will get it together in another life.................:)

I wanted to be a optician but then changed to being a teacher. Now i suppose that is what i am doing in a roundabout way.

i always wanted to be a janny, i used to watch as they wandered around the school cutting grass and generally hanging about, well in a funny way i made it i am 1 of the jannys in the north sea, but stuck in a box with no windows and certainly no grass to cut
