if you receive a card through your door from a company called PDS (parcel delivery service) saying that they have a parcel for you awaiting delivery and can you contact them on 09066611911, do NOT call this number. it is a mail scan originating from Belize. If you call the number you will hear a recorded message and you will already have been billed £15 for the call.
If you receive a card as described contact the Royal Mail fraud dept on 02072396655 or ICTIS at http://www.icstis.org.uk/

Also, an email from HSBC banking asking for your confidential banking information is also a scam so do not reply to it.

It's worth bearing in mind that, although the scam was certainly happening at the end of last year, you can't be charged more that £1.50 a minute for any phone call, so the £15 charge upon connection definitely doesn't happen.

Have a look at the icstis response (http://www.icstis.org.uk/pdfs_news/email.pdf) to the scam.

I used to work at BT and unless things has changed in the last year i think you are wrong as calls per minute CAN exseed 1.50:grin:

I'm merely going by what's stated in the article by Icstis, the premium rate services regulator... as given in my link above.
