I thought I would post on here after one of my friends had the idea sooth of the border. She advertised herself as a mentor for someone - not quite loaning the horses out as they were unridaeble youngsters but she could teach someone who was thinking of moving from riding school ponies to buy their own the basics.
So does anyone near Watten fancy learning about youngsters? I have a foal and a yearling who are quite well handled already. They are a good pair and I thought it might be nice to let a novice experience handling them.
I wouldn't use you as a slave (unless you wanted to) so once you had learnt how to muck out you wouldn't be expected to do it again regularly (but it is one of the major things of horse care :) ).
So is there a young (or older) novice person around the Watten area who would like to learn more about caring for youngsters and their handling and education?
